Members earn XP on Duolingo that Converts into Pesos
Kids use the Duolingo App to enhance their English language skills while also earning XP as a form of points. In this engaging learning experience, each 5 XP earned is equivalent to ₱1, creating an incentive for students to progress. Notably, there is a weekly maximum cap of 5000 XP, which encourages consistent practice and participation. As a result, a dedicated Pathway PH student has the potential to earn up to a maximum of ₱1000 every week, making their learning journey not only educational but also rewarding financially. This system motivates children to stay committed to their language-learning goals while enjoying the process.
The Scoreboard Shows Daily Rankings and XP Earned Converted to Pesos
Participants can monitor daily XP earned, weekly and overall XP totals, and their equivalent peso conversions for all Pathway PH members. The top three students are featured, and this list is updated regularly.
For students not in college: they can claim their savings as soon as they graduate from high school.

Pathway PH Provides Philippine Language Exchange
The program offers more than just Duolingo but also an immersive experience to the English language. Pathway PH students meet American students virtually via Zoom calls, providing them the opportunity to translate their learning into actual English conversations. Through this, they do not only use the language but also earn points simultaneously.
Pathway PH Chooses the Top Three Monthly Achievers
At the end of every month, Pathway PH diligently monitors the top three champions based on their
score,
behavior,
and how often they communicate in English. This careful assessment allows the team to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of these learners. Each awardee will not only receive a special gift as a token of recognition but will also be presented with a certificate to formally acknowledge and reward their hard work and commitment to language learning. This initiative aims to inspire all participants to enhance their skills and strive for excellence in their language journey.

- For students not in college: they can claim their savings as soon as they graduate from high school.

How can orphans earn XP points?
- Duolingo: Participants can earn a maximum of ₱1,000 per week.
- Interactions: Members earn 50 XP per response to a question-of-the-day email or face-to-face interaction with Simple staff during orphanage visits. This has a maximum of 250 XP per week.
- Immersion Zoom Calls with American Students: Participants translate their learning into actual practice and they earn 250 XP from joining.
- Participation to Bible Studies: Each time a member joins, he or she can earn an additional 500 XP.

Who can participate?
The Pathway PH English Program is designed for teens aged 15+ living in Simple's partner orphanages in the Philippines. It helps them build the English skills they need to prepare for college and future careers.
What happens if someone cheats?
Integrity is a core value at Pathway PH. If a student is caught cheating, they will be removed from the program and lose all earned rewards. This policy helps keep our learning environment fair, honest, and respectful for everyone.

How much time do I need to spend every day to hit the target weekly score?
Regular practice helps build stronger English skills over time while also allowing students to steadily earn the points needed to meet their weekly goals.
To successfully reach the target weekly score, it is recommended that students use Duolingo consistently for at least one hour each day.
